Job Summary
Chelmsford Lumber Company is seeking energetic and hard working individuals to join the team as a Lumberyard Associate. The position duties include greeting and assisting customers picking and loading materials unloading shipments and other essential duties needed. Heavy lifting is required and Forklift experience is preferred.
- Be able to wait on customers and be able to communicate and interact with a respectful positive and pleasant manner.
- Ability to read and understand order slips
- Ability to load and unload a truck in a safe and proficient manner
- Ability to pick orders according to procedures
- Ability to operate forklifts trucks and power tools in a safe manner
- Restock materials and take inventory of products
- Clean and organize warehouse and lumberyard
- Be able to follow through and complete routine and special tasks in a timely and professional manner with a minimum amount of supervision
- Ability to be at work on time and for the fully scheduled shift
- Other general tasks as necessary to the normal functioning of the lumberyard
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds
- Ability to be on feet for 8 hour shift
