We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Database Architect to design implement and optimize our enterprise data systems. The Database Architect will play a critical role in developing robust database solutions ensuring high levels of data integrity security and performance. You will collaborate closely with software development IT operations and business intelligence teams to support our organizations data infrastructure and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable high-performance database architectures (relational NoSQL cloud-based etc.).
Develop document and enforce data models standards and best practices.
Lead database migration transformation and integration projects.
Monitor analyze and optimize database performance and capacity.
Ensure database security backup and disaster recovery plans are up-to-date and effective.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and business objectives.
Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools.
Mentor and guide database administrators and developers.
Create and maintain database documentation including ER diagrams and data dictionaries.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
2 years of experience in database design and administration.
Expertise with major database platforms (e.g. Oracle SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL MongoDB AWS/Azure cloud databases).
Proficient in database modeling normalization and schema design.
Strong knowledge of SQL PL/SQL T-SQL and database programming.
Experience with data warehousing ETL tools and big data technologies is a plus.
Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices preferred.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator AWS Certified Database Specialty) are advantageous.
