Compensation Data

Base Pay: $20.00-$33.29(Wage DOE)

ROA Bonus Eligible: Up to 33%
Profit Sharing; 20.17% of Eligible Earnings (5-Year Average)

Basic Job Functions:

Support the fabrication division of Nucor Rebar Fabrication with machine repair maintenance and trouble shooting. Assist the safety team in the design development and/or installation of machine guards and safety devices. Advise Branch Manager in machine purchasing and installation.

Must Adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication safety programs and OSHA safety standards
Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication mission statement.
Perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and optimum functioning equipment systems and processes.
Troubleshoot repair and modify equipment to maintain workplace safety and production efficiency.
Generate parts lists and labor time estimates for maintenance and repairs.
Train key shop teammates on new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment.
Maintain repair records.
Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Must be 18 years or older.

Detailed Selection Criteria:

Attention to Detail- Thorough in accomplishing tasks no matter how small they may be and taking care to make sure that expectations are met.
Communication Skills- The ability to give full attention to what others are saying and communicating information so that others will understand.
Electrical Knowledge- Knowledge of (basic) electrical theory including (basic) troubleshooting installation repair and/or maintenance of electronic equipment.
Dependability- Being reliable responsible and committed to fulfilling obligations.
Occupational Safety- Using knowledge of relevant equipment policies procedures strategies and judgement to determine whether events or processes comply with laws and regulations to promote standards as well as working to continuously improve processes to ensure safety of all individuals.

Mechanical Knowledge- Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and/or maintenance.

Problem Solving- Identifying problems and analyzing or reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Teamwork- Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal.

Time Management- Managing ones own time and/or the time of others.

Preferences:

Two-year technical degree from an accredited school or college
Training in electrical controls welding mobile crane operation and rigging
Experience installing and programming electrical safety devices

Two years experience working on hydraulic pneumatic and electrical maintenance and repairs
Two years experience in electrical maintenance and repairs
Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams
Familiar with OSHA safety standards

Ability to work as part of a team as well as with others to achieve a common goal.
Demonstrated communication skills necessary to coordinate teammates and schedule repairs or maintenance.
