Job Summary
Summary
The Information Security Analyst I leverages existing systems and data to operate security controls within their domain. They may identify and raise opportunities to improve security processes or technologies.
The Information Security Analyst I works under the close guidance of more senior individual contributors and/or manager executing pre-defined processes to meet their defined goals. They are expected to provide clear and concise documentation for their tasks and work primarily with members of their own team.
Essential Functions
-Operates existing processes under close supervision to support end users in achieving specific information security goals.
-Identifies and articulates improvements to processes where appropriate.
-Work with Analysts and/or other information security units to understand and address identified security concerns.
-May research and/or provide suggestions for updates to policies standards or emerging technology use guidance.
-Creates clear and concise documentation for processes ticket resolution decisions and systems.
Education
Associates Degree Related Field of Study required or Bachelors Degree Related Field of Study required
Experience
0-3 years of relevant work experience required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Broad general understanding of cybersecurity concepts.
- Basic knowledge of tools used in day-to-day processes with ability to learn new tools and skills.
- Ability to apply defined processes to resolve a wide variety of issues.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills sufficient to identify and communicate key issues or understand when escalation support is required.
- An understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality prompt and efficient service to the business.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members providing assistance and support as needed.
