About the Opportunity
Were seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) with a background in Land Development or Transportation Engineering to support senior leadership and Project Managers in delivering impactful infrastructure and site development projects.
This is an ideal role for a licensed PE or EIT in progress who is ready to step into more responsibility lead tasks and grow into full project management. Youll gain exposure to the entire project lifecycledesign coordination permitting client interaction and construction supportwhile receiving hands-on mentorship and training.
Key Responsibilities
Support Project Managers with preliminary and final design cost estimating specifications and QA/QC.
Assist in scheduling and managing workload assignments to ensure contractual and client deadlines are met.
Perform detailed design calculations in accordance with jurisdictional criteria and engineering standards.
Coordinate with internal departments (hydraulics survey etc.) to ensure integrated project delivery.
Conduct field reconnaissance and site visits to support project planning and execution.
Attend client and regulatory meetings supporting PMs with technical discussions and documentation.
Maintain accurate project files drawings and documentation for smooth workflow and compliance.
Prepare and organize meeting notes phone logs and communication records for project files.
Assist with internal and external coordination ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
Support team development by helping train junior staff through project tasks and professional skill-building.
Demonstrate reliability professionalism and excellent time management in daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
PE license or actively pursuing licensure (EIT accepted if on track).
Experience supporting civil infrastructure projects (land development or transportation preferred).
Strong understanding of the engineering project lifecycle from concept to construction.
Proficient in design calculations permitting processes and technical documentation.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team and client interaction.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
