Job Summary

Ray Laethem is a fast-paced automotive dealership committed to excellence in both sales and service. Were looking for a detail oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our office team and support daily financial and administrative operations.

Position Summary: The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for supporting the accounting department with a variety of tasks including processing invoices maintaining financial records monitoring account schedules and costing and posting of vehicle deals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Post and verify dealership transactions in the accounting system
  • Communicate with internal departments and external vendors as needed
  • Preform general administrative task and support the office team
  • Assist with monthly and year end closing
  • Post Car Deals into the Accounting System
  • Calculate cost of goods sold to determine the actual cost of the vehicle to the dealership
  • Verify all supporting Documents are complete and correct

Qualifications:

  • Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience (required)
  • Automotive dealership accounting experience (preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Experience with accounting systems is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
