Job Summary
Primary Activities/Duties:
Ensure labor and materials are present to meet schedule attainment.
Ensure a quality product is assembled and packaged according to customer specifications and standards.
Meet/exceed all targets for Quality Productivity Uptime On-Time Delivery and Cost.
Must be able to perform work content at every station per work instruction and to takt time.
Maintain a clean orderly work environment following 5S principles.
Oversee cross training of assembly line workers; keep training matrix up-to-date.
Track daily attendance & complete time sheets.
Drive continuous improvement to achieve a World Class manufacturing environment through implementation of Rittal Production System (RPS).
Interface with quality engineering buyer/planner to help resolve any production issues.
Interface with internal suppliers (i.e. paint fab) to resolve production issues.
Actively participate in improving assembly operations; develop new ideas or methods to improve efficiency.
Actively engage with peers supervisors and management in creation of a positive workplace culture.
Knowledge & Experience:
HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Must have prior assembly knowledge.
Must be familiar with basic 5S concepts.
Must have the ability to work effectively under pressure and have a high level of initiative must be able to work with minimal oversight.
Must also have excellent communication skills - ability to work well with all levels of employees demonstrated attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
