Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to strengthen and advance the electrical design function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise proven leadership ability and a history of delivering innovative solutions for complex heavy machinery role is perfect for someone who excels under pressure enjoys mentoring and guiding teams and is committed to driving engineering excellence and practical results.
Lead and manage the electrical design team to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to specifications
Collaborate closely with clients and suppliers to confirm design requirements and maintain clear communication throughout the project
Allocate engineering tasks monitor progress and manage project timelines to optimize efficiency
Provide technical direction to ensure all designs meet industry regulations and engineering best practices
Perform detailed design reviews to validate accuracy functionality and overall quality of electrical systems
Develop and refine CAD designs including 3D models and 2D drawings to support project execution
Offer hands-on mentorship training and technical support to production teams ensuring seamless implementation and problem resolution
Skills & Experience:
Over 15 years of post-graduate experience in electrical design within manufacturing or heavy machinery environments
Proficient in CAD design and Product Data Management (PDM) systems for effective engineering workflow
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and strong overall computer literacy
Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage changing priorities effectively
Demonstrated leadership and team management experience guiding engineers and technicians
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Qualification:
B Eng Degree or B Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
