Description

Hi-Way Paving is always looking for skilled Paving Equipment Operators to join our team. While we may not have an immediate opening we continuously seek experienced paving operators to support our slip-form concrete paving operations on highways and airfields.

This role requires frequent travel between our project locations including Charlotte NC; Nashville TN; Columbia SC; Raleigh NC and future sites as needed. What Youll Do:

Operate slipform paving (heavy) equipment in compliance with manufacturer and company safety policies and procedures.
Assist mechanics and provide input on equipment repairs maintenance and performance improvements.
Help load and unload equipment and materials at job sites vehicles and/or trailers.
Maintain job site cleanliness and ensure that equipment materials and tools are stored safely and properly.
Complete required paperwork reports and documentation accurately and on time.

What We Look For:

Experience: Slipform paving experience: 13 years operating slipform concrete pavers (e.g. Gomaco 2800) on large-scale stringless mainline paving projects required.
Construction background: 3 years of heavy/highway construction experience as an operator or laborer required.
Airfield paving experience: Prior work on runways or taxiways preferred.
Mechanical skills: Mechanically inclined with experience in equipment maintenance and repair preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to gain clearance for restricted/high-security zones (e.g. airport AOA military bases).
- Willingness to travel 100% of the time.
- Valid drivers license.
- Physical ability to lift 75 lbs climb walk kneel squat push pull and enter confined spaces.
- If applicable indicate union affiliation in your application.
- Must be at least 18 years old to meet job-site safety and labor requirements.
