Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst is an entry level position within the Finance Department and assists in the audit analysis and reporting of financial data for SJHMC and SJMG (i.e. productivity analysis financial projections budgets financial statement analysis variance reports internal controls and other duties as identified). This position directly interacts with a variety of stakeholders including internal and external customers.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assists in budget preparation.
- LBI Administrator/Monthly reporting
- Timely and accurate preparation of month end reports for Medical Center activity
- Other duties and reporting as required within the finance department
- Effectively develop working relationships with team members across Dignity Health including Dignity Health Corporate Finance Office and other facilities
- Regularly interact with management team to explain procedures and financial performance
- Collaborates with others to acquire information and materials.
- Assists in budget preparation.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years in a business environment OR new graduate with exposure to financial information and participation in financial and/or productivity and/or statistical reporting.
- Experience in a database environment developing new queries and reports is critical.
- Significant experience in a database environment developing new queries and reports is critical.
- High School Diploma/GED required Bachelors degree preferred.
- Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization; advanced skills with spreadsheets and Excel are mandatory.
- Healthcare experience highly preferred
