We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading advanced composites manufacturer specialising in complex composite structures used in ships submarines and aircraft. Based in Kirkbymoorside North Yorkshire this company is at the forefront of groundbreaking composite technology delivering bespoke designs and low-volume production.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities What Youll Be Doing
As a ManufacturingEngineer you will play a crucial role in optimising manufacturing processes ensuring efficiency quality and cost-effectiveness.
Leading process improvements to enhance productivity quality and safety.
Implementing lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and maximise efficiency.
Applying structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D analysis.
Managing change effectively ensuring smooth transitions in production processes.
Working closely with production teams to select optimal materials and support fixtures.
Ensuring ERP systems align with physical processes streamlining production workflows.
Analysing productivity and cost drivers identifying areas for continuous improvement.
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements What Youll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role youll need a strong background in process engineering within a manufacturing or MRO environment. Key skills and qualifications include:
Graduate or apprentice-trained engineer with hands-on experience.
Proven experience in process engineering in medium or low-volume manufacturing/MRO.
Strong understanding of ERP systems and their integration with physical processes.
Knowledge of composite materials and their manufacturing applications.
Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as lean tools and techniques.
Ability to drive productivity quality and cost-saving initiatives.
