Job Summary

We at Good Health Dispensary have embraced the expanded scope of practice for community pharmacists in Alberta and are seeking our next team member: Part time Community Pharmacist.

Duties:

Working collaboratively with patients physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes
Performing medication reviews and medication management services as per the provincial standards in Alberta
Patient counseling on selection and use of non-prescription medication
Ensuring accurate pharmacotherapy
Compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products
Advising patients and health care professionals on the indications contra-indications adverse effects drug interactions and dosage of medications
Maintaining medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
Ensuring proper preparation packaging distribution and storage of vaccines serums biologicals and other drugs and pharmaceuticals.

Requirements:

Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
Strong sense of professionalism
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
Strong problem-solving skills
Superior patient and physician relation skills
Injection Certification
Excellent leadership and performance management skills an asset
Working experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software an asset
Works well with staff/team player.
