How Youll Make an Impact
- Lead supplier assessments evaluations and audits to ensure on-time delivery and outgoing quality.
- Drive supplier qualification and maintain a robust ethical and sustainable supplier base.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to execute part and process qualifications.
- Address supply disruptions and manage claims when supplier root causes are identified.
- Resolve supplier quality issues and lead improvement initiatives through direct engagement.
- Monitor and report on supplier performance KPIs and quality trends.
- Lead or support supplier performance evaluations and share transparent feedback.
- Contribute to strategic quality initiatives and support special projects.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.
Your Background
- Bachelors degree in engineering quality or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in supplier quality procurement manufacturing or quality engineering.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems/tools (ISO standards PPAP FMEA CAPA etc.) and SAP/4HANA (Module QM).
- Excellent communication problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with 8D methodology improvement projects and lean/6S/statistical process control.
- Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.
