We are seeking anApplication Support Agentto join our team in Brussels.

Introduction / Context:
As a full-time employee you will be part of the application support team at the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (SANTE). You will be responsible for the support of the IMSOC platform that includes TRAde Control and Expert System (TRACES) and the Animal Disease Information System (ADIS). These systems are multilingual online management tools which notifies certifies and monitors trade in animals products of animal origin and feed and food of non-animal origin as well as of plants seeds and propagating material and animal disease.

Description of tasks:

  • Ensure and perform all communication with the end-users according to the services procedures and in accordance with the agreed KPIs.
  • Provide services to all stakeholders according to ITIL best practices handling and documenting all requests and feedbacks.
  • Analyse XML files identify errors research potential root causes perform tests and report.
  • Configuration of reference data following pre-defined SOPs
  • Keep internal knowledge up to date by documenting all relevant information.
  • Week-end stand-by (1-2/month).

Knowledge and skills:
  • Knowledge of the XML and SOAP protocol with capacity to navigate technical logfiles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal in English).
  • 2 years experience in end-user assistance.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems Atlassian JIRA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or HTML is a plus.

Other Requirements:

  • EU Citizenship.
  • Resident or available to relocate to Brussels.
