Position Summary:
The Seattle Kraken Digital Asset Management (DAM) team oversees a rapidly growing media library of more than 300000 photos videos and audio clips. This collection includes live game footage event coverage produced content broadcast segments photography and radio. The DAM Intern will support the team by uploading organizing and tagging media within the Seattle Kraken Digital Asset Management system ensuring assets are secure searchable and readily available for future use.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Manager Digital Assets and internal creative teams to help ingest catalog and organize game day content and specialty shoot footage
- Effectively and properly apply metadata tags to content in a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system ensuring assets are searchable and retrievable.
- Develop strong knowledge of the Kraken media archive to help team members locate content. Assist in fulfilling content distribution requests from internal teams and external media.
- Assist the Manager Digital Assets in performing quality assurance tasks to validate the accuracy and completeness of asset metadata.
Qualifications:
- Relevant coursework or experience in Digital/Media Asset Management archives library science or computer information systems
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Familiarity with a wide variety of file types (documents video audio and photo)
- Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro
- NHL or hockey terminology knowledge a plus
- A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first
- Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator
Compensation & Perks:
- In accordance with Washingtons Equal Pay and Opportunity Act the pay range for the position is $21-$22/hr. Actual base pay will depend on the employees experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Working Conditions:
- This role is based on-site in our Seattle office and requires work to be performed in person. However we do value flexibility as the business will allow and offer occasional opportunities to work from home.
- Minimal Travel (<10% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends nights and holidays required
- Frequent bending lifting 15-20 pounds sitting exposure to multiple external elements extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
