What you bring to SBHG:
Licensed with the Board of Behavioral Science as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
BLS CPR/First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.
Masters degree in psychology social work or other related mental health field
How you will make a difference:
The Mental Health Specialist assesses clients at start of treatment (reviews as needed) develops and maintains treatment plans and conducts family collateral and discharge planning. Providing individual and group mental health services and case management services to children adolescents adults and their families. Functions as crisis intervention clinician as needed.
Division/Program Overview:
The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is voluntary and offered on a 24/7 basis in an unlocked setting with a stay of up to 23 hours
Rapid mental health assessment and crisis intervention
All age groups children adolescents adults and older adults who need immediate access to crisis mental health services.
The center provides important services to those in need of immediate crisis intervention and stabilization
Individuals admitted into the crisis stabilization unit will be provided with support and services to ensure their safe transition to the next level of care or back to the community.

In accordance with California law the grade for this position is 31.08 - 49.73. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience internal equity and other factors permitted by law.
