Your role
Are you a legal specialist willing to develop in a rapidly growing and developing business Saab Group Procurement is looking for a business lawyer to support the corporate procurement department. Group Procurement is functionally responsible for procurement within the entire Saab Group. Additionally Group Procurement is responsible for the procurement of indirect goods and services for Saabs operations in Sweden and Saab globally where synergies exist.
In close cooperation with our current Procurement Lawyer and different group functions such as Group Legal Affairs you will support our corporate procurement teams in their work with contract drafting contract reviews legal advice and negotiation support. Group Procurement is responsible for indirect procurement focusing on categories such as professional services IT facility management travel machinery and construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and provide legal advice on a wide range of agreements such as purchase agreements Non-Disclosure Agreements etc.
- Actively participate in contract negotiations providing legal support and guidance.
- Provide guidance and advice on contract related matters to the procurement organization.
- Identify assess and mitigate risks throughout the procurement process.
- Collaborate with Group Legal Affairs and purchasers to enhance our contract templates working methods and methodologies
- Continuously inform and educate the procurement department in the field of business law legal risks and contract management.
Your profile
To be successful in this role you are a business-oriented legal professional with excellent communication can easily create new relationships and a good climate of cooperation as this role involves many interfaces with both internal and external partners. Furthermore you are pragmatic solution oriented think and act strategically and have a broad perspective on challenges in your work. You have a good ability to work independently as well as in teams and work towards set goals and schedules.
Required skills:
- You have an academic degree in business law.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business and/or contract law.
- Proven experience in establishing and interpreting commercial agreements.
- You are structured and accurate and have an analytical mindset.
- You are a business-oriented team player with good social skills and you can also work independently with high integrity.
- Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English orally and written
Experience from the defence industry or industrial companies is seen as an advantage.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
