About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join the schools finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial planning budgeting and reporting processes ensuring the smooth and effective management of the schools financial operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Supporting the annual budget and forecast process
- Monitoring expenditure and ensuring compliance with financial policies
- Assisting with audits payroll and reconciliations
- Providing financial insight to the senior leadership and governors
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in a management accounting or finance role ideally within an educational or charitable setting
- Professional qualification (e.g. AAT ACCA CIMA or equivalent) or working towards one
- Strong numerical analytical and IT skills with proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines
