Role: Accountant
Location: Wakefield
Salary: 28000 - 38000
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established and respected accountancy practice in Wakefield. The firm is seeking a motivated and capable Accountant to support a growing client portfolio and become part of a friendly professional team.

Responsibilities of the Accountant role include:
Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders partnerships and limited companies
Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax computations
Preparing VAT returns and supporting client compliance work
Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide advice
Supporting senior colleagues with more complex assignments
Ensuring accuracy deadlines and compliance standards are maintained
Requirements of the Accountant role include:
Previous UK practice experience is essential
AAT qualified part qualified ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience
Strong technical understanding of accounts preparation and tax compliance
Good client communication skills and confidence in handling queries
Proactive organised and keen to develop within practice
