Job Summary

Role: Technical Project Manager Location: Dallas

Job Summary An experienced Project Manager with a strong engineering background is sought to lead initiatives within Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Cloud Engineering teams. This role requires a deep understanding of team dynamics technical interdependencies and effective collaboration in a multi-product cross-functional environment. The ideal candidate began their career as a software engineer and has successfully transitioned into a leadership or managerial position enabling them to bridge the gap between technology and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery for SRE and Cloud Engineering initiatives across multiple product lines
  • Develop manage and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with business goals and technical feasibility
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams architects and product stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope timelines and deliverables
  • Clearly communicate the product vision roadmap and requirements to all relevant stakeholders
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning stand-ups retrospectives and reviews
  • Monitor and report on project progress risks dependencies and impediments
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions through effective resource planning and risk management
  • Foster a collaborative environment and drive continuous improvement in project execution practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
  • 812 years of total IT experience with at least 35 years in project management roles
  • Hands-on experience or a strong foundational understanding of cloud technologies DevOps and/or SRE practices
  • Prior experience as a software engineer is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g. JIRA Confluence)
  • Excellent organizational communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Adept at navigating cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP CSM or equivalent project management certification
  • Exposure to tools like Azure DevOps Jenkins Git and cloud platforms like AWS Azure or GCP
  • Experience in managing projects related to cloud infrastructure reliability engineering or platform engineering
