Job Summary
Little Angels PPEC (Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care) is medical day care for special needs children. At Little Angels PPECs and rehab centers we are dedicated to providing best nursing care and therapeutic care to children with special needs requiring rehabilitative services. We strive to provide the highest quality care that places the child and family at the center of care. We seek to help stabilize and improve a childs condition and to assist the family as much as possible. With compassion we provide services that enhance the health independence self-sufficiency and productivity of those served while also providing support to their familiesHours: Monday to Friday with a weekend rotation
Were looking for a Registered Nurse to care for our patients with compassion and one who can facilitate their speedy recovery. The candidate will be responsible for educating them and their families on prevention methods and healthy habits. Ideally the candidate should be a responsible gentle and well-trained professional who can provide exceptional nursing care with minimal supervision whilst following health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote the patients well-being by providing high quality nursing care.

- Monitor patients condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care.
- Observe and interpret patients symptoms and communicate them to physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements administering injections etc.) and fill in patients charts.
- Adjust and administer patients medication(s) and provide treatments according to the physicians orders.
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment sanitizing surfaces preparing beds etc.).
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies.
- Assist surgeons during operations.
- Supervise and train HHA and child care aides.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
- Expand their knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops conferences etc.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a registered nurse.
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of emergency care.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them always.
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible and compassionate.
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills.
- or other diploma from a nursing program.
- A valid nursing license.

Required Skills:
Medical Assistant Certification BLS or CPR Certification Experience with Electronic Health Records Experience in pediatrics preferred Must be willing and able to work at both Longwood and Apopka as required
