This is not an underwriting positionits the front-end process focused on creating strong member relationships identifying good loan opportunities and preparing applications to pass on to the processor and underwriter. Youll also have opportunities to cross-sell other financial products that protect members and strengthen the credit union.

Key Responsibilities
- Build lasting relationships with members while guiding them through the loan application process
- Confidently present and explain loan products ensuring members feel supported and informed
- Collect and review loan applications pull credit reports and ensure data is complete and accurate
- Partner with the Loan Supervisor to structure strong loan applications for approval
- Communicate loan decisions clearly and professionally to members
- Identify cross-sell opportunities for deposit products credit cards insurance and loan protection products
- Support the lending team and assist other departments as needed
Qualifications :
Self-motivated and results-driven with excellent influencing skills
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with a relationship-first mindset
Knowledge of loan products and lending processes (or willingness to learn quickly)
Some experience in a financial institution (teller or MSR lending)
Detail-oriented and accurate with application documentation
A collaborative team player with flexibility to support multiple areas
