Become a member of the Technical Revenue team at Palo Alto Networks! We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Revenue Manager who is excited to join a high growth Company. The ideal candidate must possess strong critical thinking and communication skills. This person will partner closely with our cross-functional teams to structure and negotiate contractual terms perform revenue close accounting activities as well as work with key stakeholders lead projects develop new processes and improve on the month-end close process. The position requires a hands-on person who is flexible solutions-oriented and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Your Impact
- Partner with Sales Legal FP&A and Sales Operations on non-standard contract review to determine revenue impact and provide recommendations to maximize revenue
- Support monthly closing activities including but not limited to reviewing non-routine revenue transactions performing accounting assessments preparing accurate journal entries and documenting revenue conclusions
- Respond timely and appropriately to business requests
- Research resolve and operationalize complex and non-routine revenue accounting transactions. Partner to suggest potential solutions to align accounting outcomes with business objectives prior to finalization of contracts with customers or launch of new product initiatives.
- Identify actionable insights and suggest recommendations to address issues and improve accounting processes/efficiencies
- Participate in and/or lead projects and initiatives with cross functional impacts
- Ensure compliance with SOX 404 key controls
- Assist with external audits and special projects as needed
Qualifications :
Your Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of related work experience with 3 years of Technical Revenue specific experience
- Prior Public Accounting experience with regards to Revenue (ASC 606) preferred
- CPA or equivalent a plus
- SAP SFDC Big Query and accounting operations experience a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Mail Docs Sheets Slides)
- Experienced in writing complex technical revenue accounting position papers
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to details
- Team player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross functional organizations
- Education : Bachelors degree from four-year college or university or equivalent training education and experience in Finance Accounting or similar field or equivalent military experience required
