What youll be doing:
Were looking for a strategic collaborative and forward-thinking leader to join our team as Head of Mastertrust and Independent Governance Committee (IGC). This is a high-impact role at the heart of Legal & Generals workplace pension governance where youll represent the voice of the Trustees and IGC across the business and externally. If youre passionate about governance stakeholder engagement and driving excellence in pension provision wed love to hear from you.
What youll be doing:
- Representing the Trustees and IGC across Legal & General and externally building strong collaborative relationships
- Leading governance procedures and producing robust management information for oversight and decision-making
- Supporting the Trustees and IGC in meeting legal regulatory and authorisation requirements
- Aligning the strategic priorities of the Mastertrust and IGC with those of the wider business
- Preparing for and attending Board and Committee meetings ensuring timely follow-up and reporting
- Owning the Mastertrust Trustees five-year strategic plan and annual member and employer forums
- Reviewing pension and investment strategies with independent consultants and internal stakeholders
- Leading a high-performing team committed to delivering governance of the highest standard
Qualifications :
Who were looking for:
- Proven senior-level experience in pension scheme and investment management ideally within complex corporate environments
- Strong knowledge of UK defined contribution (DC) pension schemes regulatory frameworks and governance models
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with confidence to engage at Board level and in external forums
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness with the ability to drive alignment across diverse priorities
- Experience managing relationships with regulators trustees consultants and internal stakeholders
- Ability to lead and develop teams fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
- A relevant business qualification such as an MBA PMI or CII is desirable
