Purpose of this role is to embody strategic policy making in customs law within the Robert Bosch network worldwide as well as their translation to regional levels.
As part of the Customs Governance team you will be responsible for the HVAC division and potentially other Bosch entities in the US.
Job Responsibilities:
As part of the US customs law expert team you will contribute to the strategic development of the Bosch Groups foreign trade in North America.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the Bosch Groups foreign trade in North America as part of the US customs law expert team.
- Leverage customs potential and implement effective risk management for the region.
- Standardize foreign trade processes from a governance perspective.
- Strategically manage define and integrate customs-related topics into Boschs standard processes and organization including during post-merger integration.
- Coordinate contact with government authorities for external audits customs authorizations and official measures.
- Serve as the point of contact for customs tariff classifications.
- Draft position statements for associations and authorities during consultations on customs law.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in International Trade Business Law Supply Chain or related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in customs trade compliance or related governance role ideally in a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of international customs regulations trade agreements tariff classification valuation and origin rules.
- Experience in customs risk management audits and governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex regulations to non-specialists.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization.
- Project management experience with ability to drive process improvements and digital solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to act independently upon information and make decisions in adherence to compliance regulations and policies
- Demonstrated ability to identify and understand issues and resolve inquiries and develop appropriate solutions quickly effectively and independently
- Ability to effectively coordinate activities and collaborate with groups
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Experience in the automotive industry and/or constructions equipment
Travel Requirements :
- 10%-20% (Domestic and International)
