About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead and grow our market presence and customer agreement base across the UK and Ireland. This is a key strategic role where you will drive new business opportunities manage key accounts and leading an agreement sales team to achieve exceptional sales performance.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in business development and team leadership. Youll be responsible for identifying opportunities developing relationships and negotiating agreements that align with our commercial goals.
The successful candidate will work closely with all stakeholders in Sales Key Account and District Management teams you will utilise tools such as GAP/MAP analysis to identify customer needs and tailor maintenance agreements that enhance operational efficiency safety and reliability.
We can be flexible on location but ideally situated within communting distance of any of our UK offices.
Key responsibilities
- Lead coach and develop the Agreement Sales Team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Drive business growth through identifying pursuing and securing new opportunities.
- Manage key customer relationships ensuring long-term satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that align with company objectives.
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics providing regular reporting to senior management.
- Oversee the negotiation and management of agreements ensuring compliance and profitability.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing operations finance) to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Stay informed on market trends competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
Qualifications :
About You
- Proven experience in business development sales leadership or account management.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a sales team.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset.
- Highly organised target-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyse data and make evidence-based decisions.
- Knowledge of Industrial Service agreements or frameworks (desirable).
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years with a proven track record in business development sales or key account management within the industrial sector.
- Experience in selling service agreements maintenance contracts or industrial solutions is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to engage with decision-makers at industrial companies and demonstrate the long-term value of maintenance agreements.
- Knowledge of contract negotiation sales processes and value-based selling.
- Excellent communication presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Based in the UK with a willingness to travel.
