Were seeking a hands-on Project Lead to manage commercial landscape construction projects across the Greater Vancouver area. This role is ideal for someone with strong field experience a proactive mindset and the ability to lead crews while coordinating and maintaining strong relationships with developers and suppliers. Youll oversee projects from start to finishbalancing site work scheduling and paperworkon high-profile builds for top developers. Must Haves
- Minimum 3 years of experience in landscape construction
- Proven ability to both self-perform and manage landscape construction tasks
- Strong knowledge of hardscaping including paving stones concrete and retaining walls
- Experience interpreting and executing construction drawings and specifications
- Comfortable supervising and mentoring up to 10 crew members on active construction sites
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs Sheets Gmail Calendar)
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Certifications in CSTS (Construction Safety Training System) WHMIS and First Aid
- Familiar with erosion control site preparation and material logistics
Nice to Haves
- Class 3 Drivers License
- Hands-on irrigation installation experience or certification
- Experience with municipal landscaping or public parks projects installing site furnishings and playgrounds
- Understanding of project cost tracking and profit/loss management
- Comfortable preparing change orders and upselling additional work scopes
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial landscape construction projects from start to finish across the Lower Mainland
- Supervise day-to-day site operations coordinating crew tasks and safety protocols
- Maintain all job documentation including timesheets toolbox talks FLHAs and vehicle inspections
- Prepare and attend weekly operations meetings with manpower and equipment forecasts
- Read and understand all site drawings and specifications applicable to the project
- Track completed quantities and site activities for accurate billing and project reporting
- Communicate clearly with developers subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor and uphold company safety practices in compliance with OH&S guidelines
- Control project costs through efficient planning equipment use and material management
- Lead by example with professionalism accountability and respect for the team
- Ensure all rentals are properly documented fueled and returned on time
- Collect and submit all site paperwork such as truck tickets and delivery slips
- Plan work activities in advance and ensure tools equipment and personnel are prepared
- Treat company equipment and vehicles with care and responsibility
- Keep daily site logs with weather activities communications and key updates
- Represent the companys values and maintain a positive reputation with clients and partners
