Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PACU Nurse Manager to oversee the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on the Day Shift. This is a working manager role requiring both clinical expertise and leadership in daily operations. You will be responsible for planning directing and evaluating the delivery of high-quality post-anesthesia care while managing staff optimizing resources and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct day-to-day operations of the PACU including staffing workflow and patient care coordination.
Plan assign and monitor staff schedules to ensure effective departmental coverage and maintain productivity goals.
Review approve and support personnel performance appraisals and the establishment of employee goals.
Develop update and implement departmental policies protocols and procedure manuals.
Monitor physical condition of facilities and coordinate necessary corrective actions.
Lead or participate in departmental Process Improvement initiatives.
Act as a change agent to support organizational goals and foster a culture of excellence.
Stay current on clinical and management practices through independent study and continuing education.
Contribute to departmental budgeting and inventory control.
Support ongoing professional development for staff and self.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Texas
Certifications Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Experience: Previous PACU or critical care experience.
