RN Emergency Room Manager (Day Shift)
- Location: Kansas City MO 64101
- Shift: 12-hr Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Job Type: Permanent
- Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
- Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Position Summary:
The ER Nurse Manager is responsible for the clinical and administrative management of the Emergency Department during day shifts. This leadership role ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on leadership in the Emergency Department to support safe effective and compassionate care.
- Supervise and mentor clinical staff promoting professional development and team collaboration.
- Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.
- Oversee staffing scheduling and resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and department performance.
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols accreditation standards and safety regulations.
- Monitor performance indicators and implement action plans for quality improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensure:
- Active RN license in the state of Missouri or compact state license
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent management experience in an acute care Emergency Department
- Certifications (Required at Time of Hire):
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Certifications (Required Within 12 Months of Hire):
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN)
- Preferred:
- Specialty certification in Emergency Nursing or Nursing Leadership
