About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our U.S.-based subsidiary which develops and operates help desks for clients across the eCommerce industry. As the business transitions from central finance oversight to greater financial autonomy this role will be instrumental in building robust financial management and reporting processes that support growth and accountability.

The Senior Accountant will serve as the lead finance professional within the subsidiary responsible for accurate and timely reporting implementing strong controls and acting as a trusted business partner to the CEO and leadership team. This is a hands-on high-impact position for a technically strong and commercially minded accountant who thrives in a dynamic fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Prepare and deliver accurate P&L Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements on a monthly quarterly and annual basis.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and group accounting policies.

  • Manage account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies between financial and operational data.

  • Oversee accounts receivable accounts payable payroll and expense management.

  • Ensure timely and compliant delivery of end-of-year tax returns (e.g. 1099s W8s) and handle sales tax/VAT requirements in both U.S. and international contexts.

Business Partnering & Insight

  • Partner closely with the CEO and management team to provide clear actionable financial insights.

  • Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers behind performance trends.

  • Support budgeting forecasting and cash flow planning in alignment with group finance.

  • Proactively highlight financial risks and opportunities ensuring leadership is equipped for data-informed decisions.

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Assess and improve existing financial workflows approval systems and reporting tools.

  • Automate repetitive accounting processes to improve accuracy and speed.

  • Ensure full compliance with internal controls policies and external regulations.

  • Establish clear and efficient communication channels between the subsidiary and central finance escalating issues when necessary.

Leadership & Culture

  • Act as a cultural anchor embedding financial discipline transparency and accountability into the organization.

  • Mentor and guide team members where applicable fostering continuous improvement and ownership.

  • Uphold ethical standards and collaborative behavior when engaging with both divisional and group colleagues.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Active CPA qualification.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables VLOOKUP advanced formulas).

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP (IFRS knowledge is a plus).

  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Microsoft Dynamics 365 or ERP systems.

  • 57 years of progressive accounting experience with responsibility for financial reporting.

  • Proven track record in process improvement and automation initiatives.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting or partnering directly with business leadership or CEOs.

  • Exposure to multi-entity or international accounting environments.

  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
