Responsibilities:
- Prepare and draft pleadings including motions notices and subpoenas.
- Assist attorneys with all phases of trial mediation and hearing preparation.
- Organize and prepare comprehensive hearing and trial binders.
- Conduct background investigations and factual research to support case strategy.
- Communicate professionally with clients courts clerks opposing counsel and co-counsel.
- Manage discovery processes including organizing and preparing productions.
- Conduct legal research and cite checking as needed.
- Utilize case management and document review tools including DISCO Microsoft Word Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions hearings and other key case events.
- Maintain and track time-sensitive deadlines and case milestones.
- Attend hearings and trials as required to assist attorneys.
- Must know how to record and bill time accurately.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 5 years of commercial litigation experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with DISCO or similar e-discovery platforms is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
