MW Partners is currently seeking a IT Project Manager V to work for our client who is a well-known leading utilities company.
Responsibilities and duties:
- The IT Senior Project Manager for the AMI 2.0 Program will lead critical pre-planning and system integrator engagement activities for a major Advanced Metering Infrastructure initiative.
- This role focuses on resource planning technical blueprinting business process design and vendor coordination within a complex IT environment. Facilitate IT business process mapping and requirements gathering to ensure alignment with functional needs technical delivery and SI area of responsibility.
- The successful candidate will develop a comprehensive resource plan based on technical scope including roles skillsets and effort and cost estimates across workstreams (integration data infrastructure and testing). Will support the development and refinement of a high-level solution blueprint that defines scope schedule and budget from a technical lens - integrating infrastructure data flows and system interfaces to inform delivery planning.
- Plan and coordinate the Planning & Analyze phases including solution design validation technical feasibility reviews and preparation for Build phase activities including e.g. environment readiness development sequencing testing strategy and deployment rollout.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in engineering business computer science or other business-related discipline (including liberal arts majors).
- Experience with utility technology needs including strategic objectives and areas of investment focus.
- Experience delivering/developing technical information to a non-technical audience as well as to senior leadership.
- Experience in corporate strategy strategic planning or strategy/management consulting.
- Experience managing large IT programs resource planning solution blueprinting implementation planning and overall end-to-end delivery management.
- Strong communication problem-solving and cross-functional leadership.
- Familiarity with AMI smart grid or large Electric Utility technology and infrastructure projects.
- Strong blend of business insight and technical proficiency to bridge the gap between stakeholder needs and technological solutions.
