Location: Knoxville TN (100% Onsite - CSL Plasma Knoxville Lab)
Job Type: Contract 12 Months
Start Date: October 16 2025
Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday Friday 2:30 PM 11:00 PM with overtime every other Saturday
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Controller / Assistant to support shipping receiving storing and distribution operations at a plasma lab facility. The role includes both physical and administrative tasks to ensure timely handling and accountability of materials supplies specimens and equipment. Safety compliance and meticulous record-keeping are critical in this fast-paced regulated environment.
Responsibilities
-
Perform physical handling of inventory including shipping receiving storing and distribution.

Receive materials and supplies verify against packing lists and document appropriately.

Troubleshoot and resolve inbound and outbound shipment delays.
-
Organize inventory in storage areas ensuring security and accountability.

Prepare materials for shipment and maintain shipping records.
-
Adhere to safety regulations including EHS policies and proper use of PPE (lab coats face shields gloves safety goggles).

Handle bio-hazardous waste safely in compliance with regulatory standards.
-
Maintain lab grounds and parking areas as per company SOPs.
-
Use computer systems for inventory control maintenance and security documentation.
-
Follow all standard operating procedures company policies and safety protocols.

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently during daily tasks.
-
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
-
Frequent walking standing bending squatting and lifting of moderate weight.
-
Exposure to hazardous chemicals extreme temperatures and bloodborne pathogens.
-
Mandatory use of personal protective equipment.
-
Fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions.
Minimum Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Basic computer skills required.
-
Able to pass background screening including criminal social security and sex offender checks.
-
Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Familiarity with SAP inventory systems.
-
Prior experience in material handling and/or maintenance.
-
Forklift certification is NOT required.
