We are currently hiring a Director of Nursing for one of the leading Nursing Homes located in County Wicklow.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader to join a well-established facility committed to providing the highest standards of resident care and professional excellence.
Responsibilities
Ensure all policies procedures and guidelines are implemented and practiced by all staff throughout the home.
Provide strategic clinical and operational leadership to nursing and related services ensuring the delivery of effective efficient quality-assured and resident-centred care.
Maintain full compliance with all regulations relevant to the sector.
Oversee all clinical documentation within the home and ensure that systems are accurate complete and up to date.
Conduct spot checks and internal audits of documentation ensuring appropriate follow-up actions and improvement plans are implemented.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement quality enhancement and best practice across all areas of care.
Review and monitor all complaints and incidents preparing and completing comprehensive action plans as required.
Prepare responses to all correspondence to and from HIQA including inspections incidents or complaints for review by the Director of Care Quality and Standards.
Maintain a broad understanding of the homes budgets and support financial reviews or cost analyses as required.
Ensure all care provided is individualised and holistic meeting each residents needs through continuous assessment and review.
Lead the full recruitment process fostering a positive workplace culture through effective leadership communication empowerment and appropriate delegation.
Motivate and support staff by setting clear standards promoting professional development and leading by example.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Director of Nursing / Person in Charge in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting.
Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Proven track record of strategic and clinical leadership with in-depth knowledge of HIQA standards procedures and guidelines.
Strong financial budgetary and administrative management skills.
Demonstrated people management and leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams.
A post-registration management qualification in health or a related field is essential.
