Job Summary
Transmission Engineer (Remote)
Compensation: $110000$140000/year
Location: Fully Remote
My client is seeking a Transmission Engineer to play a key role in the engineering design and analysis of high-voltage transmission lines. This position is an opportunity to contribute to the development of detailed project packages that support critical infrastructure across the power industry.
Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer high voltage (69500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD.
- Prepare construction documents including plan and profile drawings structure loading trees and foundation/assembly drawings.
- Conduct detailed analysis to ensure system reliability and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical field support during construction phases.
- Plan schedule and coordinate work that requires independent evaluation and adaptation of engineering techniques procedures and criteria.
- Handle assignments involving standard engineering practices and a variety of complex challenges.
- Collaborate on project studies reporting and interdepartmental coordination.
- Innovate and implement new approaches to solve technical problems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes standards and project requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (required).
- 6 years of experience in transmission line engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license strongly preferred.
- PLS-CADD proficiency is required.
