About SB4U (Sales Mantis):
SB4U operates a 3rd-party Amazon seller account working exclusively with vendors through a wholesale model to manage their products on Amazon. We purchase inventory upfront which makes maintaining healthy profit margins a critical aspect of our operations. Our primary goal is to maximize profitability by ensuring all inventory management and sales strategies are aligned with sustainable and high-margin growth benefiting both SB4U and our vendors.
Position Summary:
As the VP of Business Development at SB4U (Sales Mantis) you will lead the charge in establishing new business relationships with vendors that align with our vision and operational capabilities. Your primary functional focus will be to bring new suppliers and clients to SB4U leveraging the exclusive Amazon services we offer. You will be responsible for identifying and nurturing long-term business relationships to ensure the continuous growth of Sales Mantis while working closely with operations to maintain profitability.
Beyond your core business development responsibilities you will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team contributing cross-functionally to company-wide initiatives including growth strategy financial planning operational optimization and AI implementation. This dual role combines hands-on account management with high-level strategic planning to drive the organization forward.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Account Management (Functional Focus):
Develop and Execute Business Development Strategy: Identify and target potential vendors for Sales Mantis by leveraging market analysis trends and networking opportunities.
New Supplier/Client Acquisition: Lead efforts to acquire new vendor relationships ensuring their smooth onboarding and successful integration into the SB4U model. You will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
Account Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong lasting relationships with key decision-makers at vendor companies. Ensure a seamless experience for new vendors as they transition to using Sales Mantis services.
Operations Collaboration:
Performance Metrics: Set measurable goals for client acquisition and gross profit growth. Continuously track the performance of new accounts to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Strategic Leadership (Cross-Functional Contributions):
Growth Strategy Development: Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to identify and evaluate new market opportunities expansion strategies and revenue streams beyond traditional vendor acquisition.
Financial Planning & Analysis: Contribute strategic input on financial planning budgeting and profitability optimization across all business units. Provide insights on pricing strategies margin improvement and resource allocation to maximize returns.
Operational Excellence: Partner with Operations leadership to streamline processes improve efficiency and scale operations in alignment with business growth. Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to enhance operational performance.
AI Implementation & Innovation: Lead or contribute to initiatives that leverage artificial intelligence and automation to improve business development processes operational efficiency vendor management and data-driven decision-making. Identify opportunities to implement AI tools that enhance competitive advantage.
Market Research & Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends and competition within the Amazon marketplace. Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within various categories of consumer goods and translate insights into actionable strategic recommendations.
Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with all internal teams (Operations Finance and Technology) to align strategies for vendor development operational improvements and company-wide innovation initiatives.
