As a Senior Associate - Financial Reporting Analyst you will serve as the specialist responsible for overseeing our monthly Financial Package reporting process ensuring data quality and consistency across our growing organization. You will manage complex data models coordinate with cross-functional teams and serve as the subject matter expert for financial reporting analytics that support strategic decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Monthly Financial Package Ownership: Lead the end-to-end monthly reporting cycle overseeing compilation quality control and delivery of key performance indicators to our Finance team for Board and Executive Committee presentations
Data Model Management: Oversee the maintenance and development of sophisticated data models supporting financial reporting ensuring accuracy and consistency across multiple data sources including Addepar Orion Broadridge and manual data feeds
Power BI Report Development & Maintenance: Own the Financial Package Power BI report and related dashboard development ensuring optimal performance user experience and alignment with evolving business requirements
Quality Assurance & Validation: Conduct comprehensive data validation processes identifying and resolving discrepancies in revenue recognition asset flows and fee calculations while maintaining detailed audit trails
Merger Integration: Support consistent financial reporting for newly acquired firms and guide system conversions ensuring seamless integration of financial data from acquired entities into consolidated reporting
Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate with Data Engineering Finance Operations and business unit leaders to resolve data issues implement process improvements and ensure alignment on reporting requirements
Stakeholder Management: Interface with executives analysts and client-facing business leaders translating complex technical concepts into actionable business insights
Process Documentation & Improvement: Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting processes data lineage and business rules while continuously identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains
Data Governance: Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements maintaining high standards for data accuracy and reporting consistency
Required Qualifications:
Financial Expertise: 3-10 years of experience in Accounting FP&A or financial analytics roles with deep understanding of financial statements revenue recognition and performance measurement
Industry Background: Experience working for a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) financial services firm or corporate tax environment strongly preferred
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) Power BI and Excel with experience managing complex data models and automated reporting processes
Analytical Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail with ability to identify patterns anomalies and data quality issues while working under tight monthly deadlines
Communication Excellence: Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to present complex financial information to diverse stakeholders including executive leadership
Project Leadership/Management: Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-team initiatives manage competing priorities and drive results through influence rather than direct authority
Problem-Solving Skills: Strategic thinking combined with hands-on technical capability comfortable diving deep into data issues while maintaining big-picture perspective
Educational Foundation: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or related quantitative field; CPA or relevant professional certifications a plus
Compensation Range:
$100000 - $115000
