Position Summary

The Project Manager Heavy Civil / Highway Construction will oversee project execution from start to finish ensuring that goals are met on schedule within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role will manage field operations project teams and client relationships while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety cost control and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instill Safety as the highest priority across all phases of the project.

  • Manage and mentor a team of Project Engineers Superintendents and field personnel.

  • Track and report project progress budgets and resource needs in coordination with Operations Managers.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with owners engineers and subcontractors.

  • Identify document and obtain approvals for changes in project scope budget and schedule.

  • Oversee monthly billings cash flow projections and change order processing.

  • Review and update project schedules in coordination with site management.

  • Coordinate equipment and staffing requirements with regional and project teams.

  • Maintain full knowledge of plans specifications and project documentation.

  • Represent the company at client meetings site walks and progress reviews.

  • Ensure consistent communication proactive problem-solving and alignment with company policies.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction as a Project Engineer or Project Manager.

  • Proven experience managing infrastructure projects involving earthwork paving grading underground utilities or structures.

  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling cost control and contract administration.

  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive high-performing team environment.

  • Must possess a valid Drivers License and maintain a clean driving record.
