The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and passionateProject Architectto complement ourVancouveroffice where we are involved in exciting work across a range of building types including commercial mixed-use retail industrial hospitality public buildings and healthcare. You will provide design leadership on various projects and may oversee the entire design process or assist as a technical expert on specialized design or act as a design resource for specific components of projects. You may work on several concurrent projects of varying sizes including those that are large and complex. Assist in the education and development of design staff. Defence Projects experience is essential.
Heres what youll be doing at Kasian:
- Work with talented architects and technologists to produce quality projects for private sector clients
- Develop project criteria the scope of services detailed work plans drawing lists schedules and resource (staff technical and budget) requirements over the project lifecycle
- Push the boundaries of design while meeting the needs of clients and end-users; participate in stakeholder meetings create design concepts and presentation material
- Lead motivate and manage the project team to produce successful design and construction documentation
- Coordinate with project consultants (ie. electrical mechanical structural)
- Resolve complex design and technical issues
- Manage client relationships and actively develop these throughout the project process
- Ensure projects are delivered effectively through efficient resource management and by achieving scheduled milestones
- Undertake site reviews and construction administration
Heres what you bring to Kasian:
- B. Arch or M. Arch from an accredited architectural program coupled with a minimum of 10 years of architectural experience;5 years minimum in defence projects.
- Registrationwith a provincial regulatory board andSecret Level clearance required
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Experience leading projects of at least $25m (construction value) with minimal supervision
- An innovative and forward-thinking approach to design and a natural curiosity for staying current with new trends materials and construction methods
- Strong technical knowledge and technical drawingexperience in Revit
- Excellent graphic communication and presentation skills
- An ability to add value to all stages of project delivery
Salary starts at $100000 per annum based on a 40-hour work week. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education experience and skill set.
