The team of the The Ritz-Carlton Vienna is looking for a Lady or Gentlemen for the position:

Pastry Chef leading our Pastry Department

The Pastry Chef leads the pastry and dessert operations of our kitchen creating innovative high-quality desserts and baked goods that align with The Ritz-Carltons brand of luxury and excellence. This role requires both artistic vision and technical expertise with a strong focus on presentation flavor and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all pastry and dessert production ensuring quality consistency and creativity
  • Develop and implement seasonal menus signature desserts and specialty baked goods
  • Maintain inventory order supplies and manage cost controls for the pastry department
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards adhering to Ritz-Carlton policies
  • Mentor train and inspire pastry team members to uphold the highest culinary standards
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to create cohesive menu experiences
  • Innovate and experiment with flavors textures and presentation techniques to enhance guest experience
  • Participate in special events banquets and catering services adapting creations to large-scale production when necessary

Your Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience with specialization in pastry or baking
  • Experience as a Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel fine dining or high-end restaurant
  • Mastery of classic and contemporary pastry techniques
  • Strong leadership organizational and team management skills
  • Exceptional creativity and attention to detail in presentation and flavor
  • Knowledge of food cost management and inventory control
  • Passion for delivering a personalized guest experience
  • Knowledge of dietary-specific baking (gluten-free vegan etc.) as an advantage
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) German as an advantage

The statutory gross minimum remuneration for this position based on full-time employment is 2.26300 per month. A higher salary will be offered depending on your qualifications and experience.
