Job Summary
Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) is looking for a highly motivated reliable and trustworthy individual. The ideal candidate should excel in customer service and have a keen eye for detail as the role involves repairing and maintaining a commercial building in Downtown Oahu. Candidates should possess a valid drivers license and have access to a reliable vehicle for work. They must also pass a background check. Previous experience as a maintenance technician or in a related field is preferred. We warmly welcome enthusiastic applicants!
Full-Time Painter/Utility Maintenance Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs: plumbing electrical mechanical and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) painting drywall and grounds maintenance
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with property managers vendors customers etc.
- Involves constant movement standing walking bending able to stretch during shifts
- Able to lift push pull press carry a minimum of 50lbs up to 75lbs
- Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working in order and fixed as necessary.
- Create and maintain work orders
- Create and maintain purchase orders
- Perform any additional maintenance related duties as required by HBM supervisor/property management
Skills/Qualifications:
- Must pass background check
- High school diploma/GED
- Must have a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- General preventative maintenance experience is required (Painting drywall basic plumbing electrical and HVAC)
- Work in tight warm humid and cold spaces
- Clean equipment AHU coils machines and floors
- Troubleshooting abilities
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Must have good public relations skills and communication
- Customer service oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Applicants must perform basic manual labor clean common areas frequently lift push pull carry a minimum of 50lbs (up to 75lbs) be able to reach overhead grasp objects bend kneel crawl squat climb up and down ladders and stairway stretch walk walk up and down a stairway climb up/down a ladder and stand throughout their shift.

Schedule:
40 hours a week
**Must have open availability subjective to emergencies: after hours weekends and holidays**
After probation schedule is subject to change: Monday-Friday: 8am - 4:30pm during training.
Compensation:$23.00/per hour
