Job Opportunity: Maintenance Superintendent Facilities Maintenance Division
Salary Range: $77521.60 $96886.40 DOQ (Depending on Qualifications)

About the Position
The City of OFallon Missouri is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Superintendent to oversee the daily operations planning and management of the Citys Facilities Maintenance Division. This position ensures the safe reliable and efficient operation of all City-owned facilities equipment and systems-supporting OFallons mission to provide exceptional public service and maintain a safe welcoming environment for employees residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage maintenance and operations for all City-owned buildings and facilities ensuring safety efficiency and optimal functionality.
Oversee facility improvement projects including design construction and renovation; serve as project manager when needed.
Collaborate with internal departments-Engineering Building and Public Works-to align maintenance priorities and support capital projects.
Direct preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
Develop bid specifications manage procurement and supervise contractors and service providers for quality and compliance.
Prepare present and manage annual operating and capital improvement budgets.
Provide exceptional customer service in response to facility-related inquiries or concerns.
Monitor and manage building systems (HVAC lighting automation) for energy efficiency and comfort.
Implement energy conservation and sustainability initiatives to reduce costs and environmental impact.
Research and adopt innovative technologies and maintenance practices.
Hire train supervise and evaluate assigned facilities staff.
Serve as Acting Director in the absence of the Parks Director.
Respond to after-hours emergencies and perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in facility maintenance management or a related area.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and HVAC control software preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of municipal building systems maintenance procedures and construction principles.
Familiarity with building codes ADA requirements OSHA regulations and safety standards.
Strong leadership problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to manage budgets contracts and multiple projects effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with computers and modern office software.
Licensing:
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position provides direct supervision to:
Maintenance Manager (1)
Facilities Maintenance Worker II (1)
Facilities Maintenance Worker I (3)
Additional part-time and seasonal personnel
Work Environment
Work is performed both in an office setting and in the field occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
May involve lifting heavy objects climbing ladders and operating tools and equipment.
Use of personal protective equipment may be required.
