As an Engineering Manager youll lead a team of talented engineers working on AI-powered applications and infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role where youll split your time between technical execution strategic planning and people management.
Youll be responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle including hiring onboarding performance reviews promotions and offboarding when necessary. Your ability to foster a high-performing and motivated team culture is essential. Youll collaborate closely with other engineering managers data scientists and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery technical quality and team alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of engineers through mentorship coaching and career development.
- Own all aspects of team management: hiring firing performance management salary discussions and feedback cycles.
- Set priorities and drive execution of AI-powered features and components.
- Act as a bridge between engineering and business teams ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Ensure operational excellence through continuous improvements in CI/CD monitoring observability and performance.
- Collaborate on roadmaps architectural decisions and technical strategy.
Qualifications :
Leadership & Management
- 510 years of experience leading software development teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to navigate difficult conversations manage performance effectively and build high-trust high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated experience in hiring growing and scaling teams during periods of rapid company growth.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Track record of delivering products successfully to customers.
- International experience is considered a strong plus.
Technical Background
- . in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and systems design.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes Docker ECS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions ArgoCD or Jenkins.
- Understanding of observability stacks (e.g. Prometheus Grafana Datadog OpenTelemetry).
- Knowledge of modern databases and data stores (Postgres Redis Neo4j MongoDB etc.).
