Acutronic is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern to join our team in Austin this role you will work closely with our engineering team to assist in the design testing and optimization of Electro-Mechanical actuators. Mechanical Design Engineer Intern
Your Roles/Responsibilities: |
- Perform basic engineering design development analysis experimentation test and/or product assurance tasks of limited complexity for assigned portions of a project. Ensures tasks meet cost quality schedule and performance requirements
- Analyze and interpret design specifications drawings documentation models and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards military specifications and product requirements
- Provide support for multiple projects working closely with the engineering team
- May independently evaluate select and apply standard technical techniques procedures and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications

Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills: |
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with at least two years completed at an accredited college or university
- Strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in engineering courses
- Solid understanding of engineering concepts and fundamentals
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) is preferred
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in relevant software applications
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Effective multi-tasking skills with a keen attention to detail
