AECOM is actively seeking a creative highly talented and motivated Mid-Level Transportation Engineer for immediate employment for the Murray Utah office.
- Engages with local team for design of interchanges highways and urban corridors.
- Responsible for 3D Modeling.
- Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader project assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple designs and tests.
- Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
- Follows and directs internal quality process and identifies discrepancies in results.
- Provides guidance and mentorship for entry level engineers.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
- Independently performs the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering design projects.
- Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 4 years of related experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Utah or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire if current PE is out of state
- Computer skills using Microsoft office AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation preferred. Strong familiarity with InRoads / Open Roads a plus
- Individuals with related experience in traffic signal design traffic control or maintenance of traffic will also be considered.
- Prior experience working with the Utah Department of Transportation is a plus
