Your New Role:
The successful candidate will have a mixture of business acumen communications and analysis skills. This role will work on the development implementation and adoption of large semantic data models. He or she will be responsible for establishing relationships with internal stakeholders and be able to transform business data requirements and specifications into data models and BI technical solutions.
Your Role Accountabilities:
Semantic Model Expertise: Support the design development and implementation of centralized semantic models used by BI tools across the company.
Continuous improvement of data Models: Implementation of best practices adoption of data governance and identification areas of continuous improvement for current data models.
Communication Skills: The ability to communicate technical information clearly both orally and in writing.
Business Intelligence: A general knowledge of BI tools and concepts and how to apply them as part of a technical solution for the business.
Problem Solving and troubleshooting: Capacity to identify and resolve complex problems on existing systems.
Stakeholder management: Build long-term strategic relationships with with cross-functional stakeholders to gather feedback and insight on scalability and reusability of semantic models.
Team collaboration: Partner with data governance data engineering and analytics teams to ensure data quality security and accessibility within the semantic models.
Self-Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and emerging BI tools to continuously evolve the semantic strategy in support of business growth and innovation.
Qualifications & Experiences:
Bachelors degree in information technology systems engineering computer science or a related field.
3-5 years proven experience in Business Intelligence or Data Engineering.
Strong knowledge of Power BI (DAX Power Query and Semantic models). Knowledge of other BI Tools (Tableau Looker SAP BO or QlikView) is a plus.
Strong analytical skills.
