Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test mechanical seals and rigs to meet R&D requirements.
- Coordinate sample preparation including tracing parts working with the lapping department and verifying finish quality.
- Operate precision measurement tools such as profilometers and roundness tracers to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Perform rotor balancing and other precision measurements for prototype assemblies.
- Log and analyze test results summarizing key findings for review.
- Support team meetings and planning sessions contributing insights to ongoing projects.
- Assist engineers in test setup data recording and troubleshooting.
- Maintain an organized workspace and follow safety and 5S practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement and innovation activities within the test lab.
Qualifications :
Education:
- Technical Degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or related Engineering field preferred.
Experience:
- 2 years of hands-on experience in a technical mechanical or test lab environment.
- Experience with seal or rig assembly profilometers roundness tracers rotor balancing and precision measurement preferred.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Apprenticeship or experience in manufacturing or R&D environments is an asset.
- Strong documentation and data reporting skills (logging summarizing presenting results).
