Test Technician II – Product Testing

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and test mechanical seals and rigs to meet R&D requirements.
• Coordinate sample preparation including tracing parts working with the lapping department and verifying finish quality.
• Operate precision measurement tools such as profilometers and roundness tracers to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Perform rotor balancing and other precision measurements for prototype assemblies.
• Log and analyze test results summarizing key findings for review.
• Support team meetings and planning sessions contributing insights to ongoing projects.
• Assist engineers in test setup data recording and troubleshooting.
• Maintain an organized workspace and follow safety and 5S practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement and innovation activities within the test lab.

Qualifications :

Education:

• Technical Degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or related Engineering field preferred.

Experience:

• 2 years of hands-on experience in a technical mechanical or test lab environment.
• Experience with seal or rig assembly profilometers roundness tracers rotor balancing and precision measurement preferred.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Apprenticeship or experience in manufacturing or R&D environments is an asset.
• Strong documentation and data reporting skills (logging summarizing presenting results).
