ABOUT THE POSITION

The Superior Court of Los Angeles County is seeking a strategic and analytical leader to serve as a Court Transformation Principal Analyst in the Court Transformation Office. This role is central to the Courts mission to modernize operations enhance service delivery and promote transparency through data-driven decision-making and process collaboration with executive leadership judicial officers and administrative teams the Court Transformation Principal Analyst leads efforts to evaluate workflows identify inefficiencies and recommend forward-thinking solutions that align with the Courts strategic goals. This role requires a strong command of data analytics process reengineering and performance measurement to support enterprise-wide improvements. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of court operations and business processes to identify opportunities for process improvement and reengineering.

  • Identify cross-departmental innovations to improve operational efficiency and overall service quality.
  • Collaborate with departments to assess current practices and recommend evidence-based enhancements.

  • Lead process evaluations and redesigns to streamline workflows and enhance performance.

  • Develop and implement performance metrics that support strategic planning and accountability.

  • Prepare executive-level reports and presentations that translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Contribute to cross-functional effortsto ensure alignment and successful implementation of transformation initiatives.

THIS IS A TELEWORK ELIGIBLE OPPORTUNITY

This position may be eligible for partial telework following an initial training period and contingent upon the needs of the Court.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To qualify you must meet one of the following options at the time of application:


OPTION I:Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in public or business administration finance social sciences or a closely related field* -AND- five (5) years of progressively responsible experience defining analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems relating to program organization and/or other management problems and assisting in the implementation of the solutions.


OPTION II:Masters degreefrom an accredited college or university with a major in public or business administration finance social sciences or a closely related field* -AND- four (4) years of progressively responsible experience defining analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems relating to program organization and/or other management problems and assisting in the implementation of the solutions.


OPTION III:Nine (9)yearsof progressively responsible experience defining analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems relating to program organization and/or other management problems and assisting in the implementation of the solutions.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Certification or demonstrated experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma Lean Kaizen or Total Quality Management (TQM).

  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives within complex multi-stakeholder environments ideally in the public sector or large institutions.
  • Advanced analytical skills including proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel SQL Tableau Power BI) and the ability to translate data into actionable operational insights.
  • Exceptional communication and engagement skills with experience preparing and presenting executive-level reports and recommendations.
  • Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement with a focus on driving measurable outcomes in organizational transformation efforts.
  • Familiarity with court operations public administration or judicial systems or experience working in a government or legal setting.
