About the opportunity

This is a high impact opportunity to lead and shape the future of property management at Cardinia Shire Council. As a key strategic role youll oversee the management of Councils property portfolio including acquisitions disposals leasing and legal title matters while building strong relationships across departments stakeholders and external partners. With a growing focus on Precinct Structure Plan acquisitions and new Council Plan initiatives for investment and attraction this role offers autonomy visibility and the chance to build and lead a small team in a progressive environment.

You will make an impact by

• Leading a small emerging team to deliver strategic property outcomes.
• Managing complex property transactions including acquisitions disposals and leases.
• Providing expert advice and reporting to Council ELT and stakeholders.
• Building strong relationships across departments community and external agencies.
• Driving customer centric solution-oriented property services.

What you will bring

• Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in property real estate or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership experience ideally within local or state government.
• Strong understanding of property legislation leasing acquisitions and title matters.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex property transactions and manage stakeholder expectations.
• High-level communication and report writing skills including presenting to executive audiences.
• Experience working with legal advisors consultants and technical experts.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities with autonomy.
