Before and After School Care Staff

Location: Allen Park MI 48101

Cabrini Grade School is hiring for our before and after-school Extended Day Program. Our program provides a safe and nurturing space for children Preschool-Grade 8 to gather after school and engage in a variety of activities. Extended Day staff members are responsible for coordinating group activities fostering positive relationships and ensuring the safety and well-being of each child.

Performance Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and implementing the daily program
Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment and in preparing needed materials and supplies
Helps with general housekeeping tasks including the serving of snacks and sanitizing the tables
Maintain a professional attitude
Treat all children with dignity and respect
Attend staff meetings and recommended training programs
Oversee and supervise children in small groups
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must be certified in Infant/Child and Adult CPR and First Aid (school will provide some training)
Complete 16 hours of Professional Development in Early Childhood topics (annually)
Prior to starting must complete:
- Fingerprinted/Background check (through school)
- Bloodborne Pathogens Protecting Gods Children Workshop (available through Archdiocese of Detroit)
- TB test and physical
- MIRegistry health and safety training
High School Diploma or GED equivalence
Availability to work from 7:00-7:45 am and/or 2:30-6:00pm 3-4 days a week
